2010 Hungarian Grand Prix with Pumpkin Tours. Our package takes you into the centre of Budapest in only a few hours. We offer a range of hotels, some of them are used by the race crews and you might be lucky enough to bump into Sebastien Vettel or Lewis… no promises but you never know your luck. The Mercure, Hungaria or the Radisson SAS are our choices and you will not be able to book them with anyone else. These rooms sell out up to 4 years in advance!. Our staff have visited all the hotels in person and made inspections to make sure you get the best possible value and service.
Once in Budapest you will have access to our very own private coach and guides who will take you to and from the Hungaroring each day and who are there to make sure that you are treated just as well as the drivers.
The track is exciting and we have secured tickets that allow you the best possible views and interaction with the racing. We know how much it means to you to get close to the action. We feel the same, that’s why our tours are so much better than the competition.
After the practise and the race we take you back to Budapest where we have booked out some of the best open air venues in the city. If you don’t want to spend all day at the track we also offer a host of local tours. You can visit the Palaces and sights of the ancient Hungarian Monarchs, take a trip along the beautiful Danube, shop for unusual Hungarian gifts or simply spend a bit of time in one of the many bars in the city. Out hotels are all chosen to offer the best access to the city for the minimum fuss.

yes Pumpkin Tours are delighted to be able to offer you an opportunity to drive a whole range of Soviet Era armed vehicles, from the T52 tank that invaded Hungary to a selection of other armoured fighting vehicles and troop carriers that are simply not known in the West. The day is filled with vertical climbs and descents with gun barrels bouncing and wheels and tracks spinning in the mud. You get a full meal served in old fashioned tin pans plus all the adrenaline rush you can cope with. We can also offer you a trip in an ancient Antonov aircraft, circa WW2. The plane seats 15 and cruises so slowly that you will wonder how it stay up. Words can’t describe the feeling. To say it is unique is an understatement. Or how about taking a trip in a WW2 PO-2 biplane? The plane will fly you over the city and only 1 person at a time can fly. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The wind in your hair, seat of the pants flying that only your grandad would really understand. Don’t be alarmed. All our trips are certified by the authorities and no one has been injured or killed but without that frisson of danger it wouldn’t be worth doing now, would it? Whilst you are in Budapest with us we can also arrange series of other adventures such as caving in the Pal-Volgyi caves, visiting the secret Nuclear bunkers under the Castle in Buda and even indoor karting at the biggest indoor arena in the city. Then when it all gets too much we will take you for a legendary massage at one of the many spa baths in the city. You can have Thai, Swedish, Turkish or Shiatzu massages and relax in a sauna or hot tub until the aches and pains from the tank fade away.
