2009 Brussels & Bruges Christmas Markets with Leger Holidays - The Brussels Christmas markets occupy the charming areas of the old town. See them and a selection of other festive destinations.

Your Holiday Itinerary - 3 or 4 Day Break

Day 1 – We arrive in Belgium and stay for two or three nights.

Day 2 – Brussels (included). The market, with its cheerful lights, delicious aromas and a vast number of stalls, promises a true festive atmosphere. In addition to the Christmas market, the ice-skating rink offers fun for all. Visit the beautiful Grand Place, decorated in festive lights for the occasion. B

Day 3 (4-day holiday) – Travel to Valkenburg (included) with some time at leisure to enjoy the festive splendour of the Christmas market in the Town Cave (Gemeentegrot), the oldest and largest underground Christmas market in Europe. The ancient galleries and the stylish dramatisation of an episode from Valkenburg's rich history, provide the perfect backdrop to this uniquely appealing occasion. The Christmas market is embellished with song and music, offering many tempting seasonal attractions for sale. B

Day 3 (3-day holiday) or Day 4 (4-day holiday) – We have a brief visit to medieval Bruges (included), before returning to the U.K. B

3-day holiday - You'll stay for two nights at the 4-star Holiday Inn Ghent Expo on the outskirts of Ghent. The hotel has a restaurant and bar plus sauna, fitness room and lift. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer, airconditioning and tea/coffee making facilities.

4-day holiday - You'll stay for three nights at the 4-star Holiday Inn Brussels City Centre or similar. Close to Avenue Louise, the hotel has a restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer, air-conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities.

The Holiday Inn Gent Expo – a completely renovated, modern 4-star hotel located at the crossing of the major European motorway junction and is very accessible.
